Your Egyptologist guide meets you at your hotel in Cairo, and you travel by private air-conditioned vehicle for roughly four hours to Bahariya Oasis. Lunch is served at a local oasis restaurant, with time to relax before heading into the desert.
From there, a private 4x4 takes you deeper into the desert. You’ll stop at El Haiz, a small green oasis in the sand, then Crystal Mountain, known for its quartz formations, and Agabat Valley, where wind-carved rock rises above golden dunes. You can try sandboarding here if you like.
You reach the White Desert National Park in time to watch the chalk formations shift through warm shades as the sun sets. Dinner is prepared by the local camp crew and served in the open air, followed by a night of camping under a sky with no city light to compete with the stars.
