This private day tour pairs the two things most cruise passengers actually want on a stop in Egypt: the Giza Plateau in the morning, a Nile lunch cruise in the afternoon, and a guide who's yours alone for the day.
Your representative meets you right at the port exit, holding a sign with your name, then drives you to Cairo in an air-conditioned vehicle. At Giza, you'll walk the plateau itself, the Pyramid of Cheops, then Chephren and Mycerinus, before the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple, where priests once carried out the mummification rites for Chephren's burial. Nothing here is rushed; your guide sets the pace around what you want to see and photograph.
From Giza, you head to the Nile for a one-hour lunch cruise: an oriental buffet, views of the Cairo Tower and the riverfront skyline, and a belly dance and Tanoura show while you eat. Afterward, you're driven straight back to Alexandria Port in time for your ship. Port to port, the whole day runs about 12 to 13 hours.

Your Aten tours guide meets you right at the Alexandria Port exit, holding a sign with your full name, and then drives you to Cairo in a private air-conditioned vehicle, about 3 hours on the road. Sightseeing starts at the Giza Plateau, where you'll walk around the Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, with plenty of time to take photos of this scale up close.
From there, your guide takes you to the pyramids of Chephren and Mykerinos, then on to the Great Sphinx, a lion's body and a human head said to represent strength and wisdom. The last stop at Giza is the Valley Temple of King Chephren, once part of the mummification process carried out for Egypt's pharaohs.
After the plateau, you head to the Nile for a one-hour lunch cruise: an oriental buffet served while you drift past Cairo's landmarks, including the Cairo Tower, with a belly dance and a Tanoura ("whirling dervish") show for entertainment.
At the end of the day, your guide escorts you back to Alexandria Port in time to reboard your cruise ship.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking on sand and uneven ground at the Giza Plateau, and bring sun protection; the sightseeing happens outdoors with little shade. Entering the Great Pyramid itself is optional and paid separately on-site (not included in this tour), and it isn't recommended if you have claustrophobia or a heart or respiratory condition, since the interior passages are narrow, hot, and require some crouching.
