Itinerary

Day1

Welcome to Cairo – Arrival and Hotel Check-in

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, a representative from Aten Tours will be waiting with a sign showing your name. They’ll take you by private vehicle to your hotel in Cairo or Giza. After check-in, you’ll go over the arrangements and pickup times for your Cairo and White Desert Classic Tour Package with the team.

The rest of the day is free to settle in and relax. A welcome drink will be waiting for you at the hotel.

Day2

Discover the Pyramids of Giza and Cairo Historic Neighborhoods

Start the morning with breakfast, then meet your private English-speaking guide and head to the Giza Pyramids. You’ll stand in front of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, walk around the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and see the Great Sphinx. The Valley Temple of Khafre is also on the list — it was an important part of the old royal burial complex.

Next you go to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) to look at its large collection of artifacts from ancient Egypt. After lunch at a local restaurant, the day continues into historic Cairo. You wander the busy lanes of Khan El Khalili Bazaar, then move on to Coptic Cairo, where you see the remains of Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Once the full day of Cairo sightseeing is done, you head back to the hotel to rest.

Meals: Breakfast and lunch

Day3

Journey to Bahariya Oasis

After breakfast you leave Cairo and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Bahariya Oasis. The drive takes about four hours. This quiet oasis in the Western Desert feels different from the rest of the country, a mix of archaeological sites, palm groves, and open desert. It’s a great introduction to the landscapes featured in this White Desert classic tour from Cairo with Bahariya Oasis.

You’ll visit the Valley of the Golden Mummies, the Tombs of the Nobles, the Temple of Alexander the Great, and the Temple of Ain El Muftella. After lunch and check-in at the hotel, there’s time to unwind. You can visit a natural hot spring or simply walk through the oasis and see a bit of local life.

Later in the day you climb Black Mountain to see what’s left of the English House. From the top you get wide views across Bahariya Oasis as the sun starts to go down.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day4

Adventure to Black Desert and White Desert

Today is the highlight for travelers looking for an Egypt desert safari. You start by looking around Bahariya Oasis itself — the salt lake, golden dunes, palm trees, and fruit gardens. After lunch you switch to a 4x4 and head into the Black Desert, where the dark volcanic hills and black stones stand out against the sand.

The route continues through El Haize, then stops at Crystal Mountain so you can see the quartz formations. You also pass through the Valley of Agabat, with its unusual rock shapes and open desert views.

From there you enter the White Desert. The wind-shaped chalk formations rise out of the sand in all kinds of strange shapes, and it’s an easy place to walk around and take photos. As the light changes in the evening you watch the colors shift across the desert, then settle into the campsite. The local Bedouin guides prepare dinner, and you spend the night in the quiet of the Western Desert.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day5

White Desert and Return to Cairo

You wake up in the White Desert and have breakfast at camp while the landscape comes into view in the morning light. There’s time for a last walk among the nearby chalk formations and a few photos before you leave.

Depending on the arrangements for the trip, you stop at a hot spring on the way back toward Bahariya Oasis. From there you travel by private vehicle to Cairo and check in at your hotel. The evening is free, rest or enjoy the city at your own pace after your Cairo pyramids and White Desert safari package.

Meals: Breakfast

Day6

Breakfast is at the hotel before the trip ends. At the arranged time a Aten Tours representative meets you and provides a private transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight.
