4 Days Cairo Culture Tour

• Your guide's already waiting past passport control at Cairo International Airport—you won't be standing in the arrivals hall scanning name signs. From there it's a private, air-conditioned car to your hotel.
• Check-in gets handled while you're still catching your breath from the flight, and if the room's ready early, you're in it early. Your guide will also run through the four-day plan with you and lock in pickup times, so there's nothing left loose going into day two.
• There's a welcome drink at the hotel when you get in. After that, the rest of the day is yours — sleep, wander, whatever the flight left you in the mood for.

The Giza Plateau comes first — the three Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple in front of it. A camel ride is optional if you want one; if not, there's plenty to just stand and look at. From there, it's south to Saqqara for the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the earliest large stone monument in Egypt, along with several of the surrounding tombs.
Lunch comes next, then on to Memphis, once the capital of the Old Kingdom. What's left there now is smaller in scale than Giza—the alabaster Sphinx and a colossal statue of Ramses II—but it's where Egypt's ancient history actually started before the pyramids were built.

• Breakfast, then straight to the Grand Egyptian Museum. This is where Tutankhamun's full collection lives now, gold mask included—it moved here from the old museum in Tahrir when GEM opened in 2025, and a lot of Cairo tour listings still haven't caught up to that. You're seeing the real thing in its current home, not chasing an outdated itinerary.
• From GEM, it's Saladin's Citadel, sitting high enough over Cairo to see most of it at once, and inside it, the Mohamed Ali Mosque. After lunch, the afternoon shifts to Coptic Cairo—the Hanging Church, St. Sergius Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue, three sites that, between them, cover most of Egyptian Christianity's early centuries in a few blocks of walking.
• The last stop is Khan El Khalili. Shop if you want to, or just walk it—the bazaar's been running since the Fatimid era, built on what was once a mausoleum for Fatimid caliphs. Back to your hotel after that.
