Notes

  • Winter and mountain weather. The Cedars of God and Bsharri are high in the mountains and noticeably colder than Beirut. In winter, snow can limit access to the Cedars or to parts of the Qadisha Valley. If the weather affects your date, we tell you before the day so you can decide how to adjust the route.
  • Gibran Museum and children. Many of the artworks in the Gibran Museum are nudes. If you are traveling with children, you may want to decide beforehand whether to visit it, and your guide can spend that time elsewhere.
  • Dress code for religious sites. Qozhaya Monastery and the other monasteries in the valley are active religious sites. Cover shoulders and knees, and wear comfortable closed shoes with good grip. Bring a light jacket, as it gets cooler in the mountains even in summer.
  • Route and timing. The order of stops can change on the day because of weather, road conditions, or how long you want to stay at each place. Your guide adjusts the plan with you.
  • Hotel pickup. Pickup is from your hotel or address in Beirut. Send us the hotel name when you book, and we confirm the pickup time with you before the day.
