Finally, you will enter one of the oldest Jewish temples in the Middle East, the Synagogue of Ben Ezra. At the end of your Cairo day trip, you transfer back to your hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel, then meet your private Egyptologist guide with the driver. They will take you from Cairo to Alexandria in a modern air-conditioned vehicle as part of your honeymoon package. First stop is Qaitbay Fortress which was built upon the base of the Lighthouse Pharaohs, and this lighthouse was one of the ancient 7 wonders of the world. Next transfer to visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, where the Greco-Roman style mixes with a Pharaonic touch in ancient Egypt. Pompey’s Pillar is your next stop to see the best collection of Greek monuments at the place that once was a very famous temple, known by the name Serapeum, and after that you will visit the Library of Alexandria. It lightened the whole world with knowledge at the dawn of history, and it was the biggest place for scientific research.

After enjoying the seafood lunch at a local restaurant, we will transfer back to the hotel in Cairo for overnight.

Today, we will go to the necropolis at Saqqara, to see the Step Pyramid complex of King Djoser, the 2nd ruler of Egypt during the 3rd dynasty. This pyramid is often mentioned as the very first stone structure in history, and it was created with real genius by the architect Imhotep, so you know it’s not just another pyramid, it has that special beginning feeling.

We will also visit the pyramid of King Teti, and then we will enter one of the tombs of the nobles next to the pyramid. The tomb is Kagemni, he was the son-in-law of King Teti and the vizier of justice, during the 6th dynasty, that’s what the inscriptions suggest too.

After that, transfer now to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt in the Old and Middle Kingdom. Nowadays, what remains is basically an open air museum , showing many interesting artefacts. Among them, the most impressive are the alabaster sphinx of Memphis and the colossal statue of King Ramses II. He ruled in the 19th dynasty during Egypt’s new kingdom, and he is considered one of the most important kings.

Transfer now to one of the local good quality restaurants, for lunch. Then we continue to the heart of Cairo where most of the Islamic Cairo trips happen, Khan El Khalili bazaar. This is your chance to buy souvenirs and also taste the traditional tea mint in a local cafe. Afterward, transfer back to the hotel and overnight.
