Private Luxury Egypt Tour: 6 Days in Cairo, Luxor & Aswan

This 6-day luxury Egypt tour package is built for travelers who want Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan done properly in under a week with a private car, private guide, and no group pace to keep up with.

A licensed Egyptologist walks you through the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, then a domestic flight carries you south to Luxor before a private van continues the journey on to Aswan.

Cairo comes first, over two full days: the pyramids, the Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the older churches of Coptic Cairo before an afternoon at Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

A short flight then puts you in Luxor for two days across both banks of the Nile—Luxor Temple and Karnak on the East Bank, and the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut on the West. From there, a private transfer takes you to Aswan for the Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple, and the Unfinished Obelisk before a flight back to Cairo closes the loop.

Hotels throughout are 5-star, and the route runs from Cairo, then Luxor, then Aswan, then back to Cairo, so six days covers real ground without feeling rushed.

Itinerary

Day1

Arrival in Cairo & Optional Sunset Quad Bike Tour

Your Luxury Egypt 6 Days Tour Package begins at Cairo International Airport, where an Aten Tours representative meets you holding a name sign, handles immigration and arrival formalities, and transfers you by private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel.

Once you've checked in, your tour representative walks through the full itinerary with you, confirming pick-up times for Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan.

Not ready to just rest after the flight? An optional Giza Pyramids Sunset Quad Bike Tour is available, quad biking the desert around Giza with the pyramids in view as the light drops.

This add-on is optional and booked separately from the main Egypt Luxury Tour package.

Day2

Giza Pyramids, the Great Sphinx & the Grand Egyptian Museum

From the Valley Temple, where ancient Egyptians once carried out mummification rituals, continue to the Great Sphinx, with an optional camel ride around the plateau if you want it. After lunch, the Grand Egyptian Museum holds Tutankhamun's golden mask and coffin among more than 100,000 artifacts, followed by Coptic Cairo: the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Sergius, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

The day closes at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Cairo's oldest market, before your driver takes you back to the hotel.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Cairo

Day3

Fly to Luxor — Luxor Temple & Karnak Temple

After breakfast, your representative transfers you to Cairo Airport for the domestic flight to Luxor, where your private Egyptologist guide meets you for the next two days.

The East Bank tour starts at Luxor Temple, built under Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramesses II and Tutankhamun. From there, Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex in ancient Egypt, takes up most of the afternoon, with colossal columns and reliefs added by pharaoh after pharaoh over centuries.

Lunch at a local restaurant follows before check-in at your Luxor hotel.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Luxor

Day4

Luxor West Bank Tour – Transfer to Aswan

After breakfast, your Egyptologist guide takes you across to Luxor's West Bank, starting at the Valley of the Kings, where more than 60 decorated tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs are cut into the rock, including Tutankhamun's.

From there, the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, designed by the architect Senenmut for Queen Hatshepsut, is built in three terraces straight into the cliff face.

After lunch, you're transferred by private van to Aswan, where you check in to your hotel for the night.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Aswan

Day5

Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple & the Unfinished Obelisk

With breakfast done, the day's Aswan touring opens at the Aswan High Dam, completed in 1960 to hold back the Nile's yearly floods

Next is Philae Temple, moved stone by stone to Agilkia Island when the dam threatened to submerge its original site.

At the ancient granite quarries, the Unfinished Obelisk sits abandoned mid-carving, likely from Queen Hatshepsut's reign, after a crack appeared in the stone.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you're transferred to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo, where your representative meets you for the transfer to your hotel.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight: Cairo

Day6

Departure — Optional Saqqara, Memphis & Dahshur

After breakfast, you're transferred to Cairo International Airport for your flight home.

If your departure time leaves room for a few extra hours, an optional stop at Saqqara, Memphis, and Dahshur is worth adding—Saqqara's Step Pyramid predates Giza by roughly a century, and few 6-day itineraries make time for it.

Meals: Breakfast

Notes

Itinerary Changes: Site visiting hours and entry procedures in Egypt can change with little notice, especially at government-run sites like the Valley of the Kings and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Your guide will always confirm the day's plan the evening before, and any changes are made to keep the same sites in the itinerary, not remove them.

Hotel Check-in and Check-out: Standard check-in is from 2:00 to 3:00 PM and check-out by 12:00 PM, per each hotel's own policy. Early check-in or late check-out isn't guaranteed and depends on room availability on the day.

Child Policy: Children are welcome on this tour. Contact us with ages before booking so we can confirm pricing and check whether any site (such as the Valley of the Kings' tombs) needs adjusting for younger travelers.

Physical Requirements: Expect a moderate amount of walking and some stairs, particularly inside the tombs at the Valley of the Kings and around the Giza plateau. There's no strenuous hiking involved, but comfortable walking shoes matter more than fitness level.

Dress Code for Religious Sites: Shoulders and knees covered when visiting mosques, churches, and temples. Loose, breathable clothing works better than shorts or tank tops, both for site rules and for the heat.
