Day1

Embarkation and tour to Abu Simbel Temples

Once you reach the Abu Simbel airport our representative will assist you through all the procedures required upon arrival. Then, transfer in an air conditioned motor car to embark the luxurious Movenpick Prince Abbas Lake Nasser Cruise and your 4-day Nile adventure on Lake Nasser will start. After check in onboard, have a palatable lunch in the cool Lake Nasser water and then be transferred to take your first tour around the fascinating Abu Simbel Temples. This journey can also be part of a Nile Cruise Luxor Aswan Abu Simbel experience, allowing you to combine Egypt’s iconic Nile destinations with the remarkable temples of Nubia.

These spectacular rock cut temples constructed by Ramses II in the 19 th Dynasty, are famous for their colossal statues and astonishing architecture. Regarded as one of the most remarkable ancient monuments in Egypt, it has also been noted for a phenomenal solar event which takes place twice annually: during which the sunlight streams into the depths of the Great Temple, reaching the sanctuary and the statues. Afterwards, have a relaxing tea at the sun deck on board the cruise.

Optionally, if you have booked an extra entrance, attend the spectacular Show of Sound & Light at Philae Temple in the evening which gives you a marvelous overview on the ancient history. Have an unforgettable dinner at the restaurant on board and stay overnight in your cabin at Abu Simbel.

Day2

Tour to Kasr Ibrim, Amada Temple, Derr Temple & Wadi El Seboua

Enjoy breakfast on board the Movenpick Prince Abbas Lake Nasser Cruise as you set sail across the calm waters of lake Nasser, on the way to Kasr Ibrim, one of Nubia's most important sites. During a stop for you to admire and take photographs of this ancient fortress from the sundeck (as the site itself is not accessible for visiting), your sailing will halt. This unforgettable experience can also be combined with a Nile Cruise Luxor Aswan, allowing you to explore more of Egypt's ancient landmarks and enjoy a complete journey along its historic waterways.

Continue to the Temple of Amada, the oldest temple still in existence in Nubia with incredibly preserved inscriptions and reliefs and the Temple of Derr, dedicated to the god Ramses II, by this very important 19th century leader. The last site you will visit this morning will be the Tomb of Pennut, a very respected civil servant, who looked after the Temple of Horus' estates.

Return to your Nile Cruise and sail on towards Wadi El Seboua, meaning the Valley of the Lions. Enjoy lunch on board while you gaze out at the tranquil scenery on Lake Nasser, with a delightful afternoon tea served on board, whilst the Nile Cruise sails onto it's next destination.

Enjoy the welcome cocktail reception before dinner is served aboard the Nile Cruise. A wonderfully entertaining Nubian cultural show follows dinner.

Day3

Wadi El Seboua Excursion and sailing to Aswan

You'll have an early buffet breakfast on board and then leave with your expert Egyptologist guide for an exploration of the Temples of Wadi El Seboua. The temple, constructed by Ramesses II and dedicated to the god Amun, is now referred to as the Valley of the Lions and is a magnificent testament to the period with its avenue of sphinxes leading up to it.

Discover the history behind this impressive Nubian site and the incredible rescue operation by UNESCO which caused it to be dismantled and moved higher ground following the building of the Aswan High Dam and subsequent creation of Lake Nasser.

After discovering Wadi El Seboua you'll board the Movenpick Prince Abbas Lake Nasser Cruise once more and commence sailing north towards Aswan. Take the remainder of the day to relax on board while taking in the beautiful sights of Lake Nasser. A fine buffet lunch will be served, with an afternoon tea to follow, and a further buffet dinner will be enjoyed in the evening before you retire to your comfortable cabin.

Day4

Sightseeing Tour and Disembarkation at Aswan

Enjoy your last breakfast aboard the Movenpick Prince Abbas Lake Nasser Cruise and prepare to disembark at Aswan to undertake the final part of your sightseeing.

Guided by your knowledgeable Egyptologist guide, proceed to visit the beautiful Kalabsha Temple; one of the most famous Nubian temples of the Greco-Roman period and dedicated to the Nubian god, Mandulis. It is known for its architecture, its preserved reliefs and delicate engravings illustrating the art and power of ancient Egypt. The incredible international rescue operation that helped save the temple from flooding with the waters of Lake Nasser after the Aswan High Dam construction; this temple has been disassembled piece by piece and reassembled on its current location, making it the second largest monument to be relocated during the UNESCO Nubian monuments campaign. Listen to your guide's explanation on the history and artwork in this ancient place.

Following the completion of your Aswan sightseeing tour, transfer to Aswan airport or railway station according to your flight and/or train schedule.
