Your Aten Tours representative meets you at Cairo International Airport, holding a sign with your name, and transfers you to your hotel in Giza in a private air-conditioned vehicle.

At check-in, your representative walks you through the full itinerary and confirms pickup times for the days ahead. A welcome drink is served on arrival. Overnight in Cairo.

After breakfast, your Egyptologist guide picks you up for a full day covering Egypt's most iconic ancient sites in a private air-conditioned vehicle.

You'll start at the Great Pyramid of Cheops, built over 4,500 years ago and the largest of the three Giza pyramids, with time for photos and the option to go inside with your guide's explanation of its history.

Next is the Pyramid of Chephren, known for its scale and its alignment with the Great Sphinx, followed by the smallest of the three, the Pyramid of Mycerinus, where a camel ride across the plateau is optional.

You'll then visit the Great Sphinx, carved from a single block of limestone with the body of a lion and the head of a king, and the Valley Temple, used historically for the mummification and funerary rites of kings.

From there, the tour continues to Memphis, ancient Egypt's first capital, and Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the earliest of Egypt's great stone pyramids and the work of the architect Imhotep, along with nobles' tombs and the Pyramid of Teti with its hieroglyphic inscriptions.

Lunch is at a local restaurant in Saqqara before you return to your hotel in Giza for the night.

After breakfast, your Aten Tours guide takes you through Cairo's major cultural sites. The day starts at the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the world's richest collections of Egyptian antiquities, including Tutankhamun's gold mask, throne, and other treasures from his tomb.

From there, you'll visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din, the seat of Egyptian rule for centuries, and the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, an example of Ottoman architecture with its distinctive domes and minarets.

The tour continues to Old Cairo, including the Roman fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church suspended above two of its towers, the Church of St. Sergius (traditionally linked to the Holy Family's stay in Egypt), and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of Egypt's oldest.

After lunch, you'll visit Khan El Khalili, one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East, known for its spice, perfume, and souvenir shops. Transfer back to your hotel in Cairo for the night.

After breakfast, your English-speaking Egyptologist guide picks you up for the roughly 2.5-hour drive to Alexandria, Egypt's second capital, founded by Alexander the Great in 332 BC.

You'll start at Pompey's Pillar, a Roman triumphal column built in 297 AD to mark Emperor Diocletian's victory in Alexandria, followed by the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the largest known Roman-era cemetery in Egypt, blending Egyptian and Roman art and architecture.

Next is the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century fortress built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, followed by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern library and cultural center built as a tribute to the ancient Library of Alexandria.

You'll enjoy a seafood lunch at a restaurant by the Mediterranean before driving back to your hotel in Cairo for the night.
