Welcome to Egypt! When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, a friendly representative from Aten Tours will greet you with a signboard that shows your name. A private air‑conditioned car will then take you to your hotel in Cairo.
At the hotel your tour manager will meet you to walk through the schedule for your 6 Day Egypt Christmas Tour Cairo Luxor Aswan. He will confirm all times and make sure everything is clear.
If you arrive early you can opt for a 2‑hour Nile Cruise Dinner. On the cruise you will sail along the Nile enjoy dinner and watch traditional Egyptian shows such, as belly dancing and the Tanoura performance.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Then meet your Egyptologist and driver to begin your Egypt Christmas holiday package with Cairo Luxor and Aswan.
Start the day with a visit to the Giza Pyramids. See the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the Pyramid of Chephren and the Pyramid of Menkaure. Take in the view of the pyramids. Visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. You can also choose to take a camel ride around the pyramids if you like.
Next travel to Memphis, the capital of Egypt. Explore the open-air museum. See the statue of Ramses II and the alabaster Sphinx.
After lunch at an Egyptian restaurant head to Saqqara. This is the site of the Step Pyramid of King Djoser the world’s earliest major stone pyramid. Visit the Pyramid of Teti and the preserved Tomb of Kagemni. The tomb is decorated with scenes of daily life, in ancient Egypt. After your sightseeing is complete return to your Cairo hotel.
After breakfast meet your tour leader and take a transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan, the gateway to Egypt.
Upon arrival your private guide will be there to greet you and start your 6-day Christmas tour to Cairo Luxor and Aswan. First visit the Aswan High Dam, one of modern Egypt’s greatest engineering achievements. Then explore the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries a fascinating glimpse into the past.
Next travel by boat to the Philae Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. This temple was originally built during the Ptolemaic period. Later completed by the Roman emperors. It’s an example of ancient Egyptian architecture and history.
Enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant before heading to your hotel, in Aswan. Check in. Rest for the night.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Luxor to begin exploring the highlights of this city as part of your 6 Day Egypt Christmas Itinerary with Ancient Temples. Start your day on the East Bank with a visit to the Karnak Temple Complex. This is the ancient religious complex in Egypt and one of the most impressive temples from the New Kingdom.
Next head to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings. This was the necropolis where many pharaohs were buried, including the famous tomb of King Tutankhamun. You will also visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This temple is built into the cliffs. Was dedicated to the gods of ancient Egypt.
You will then stop at the Colossi of Memnon. These are the statues of King Amenhotep III, standing tall and powerful. After that enjoy a lunch at a nearby restaurant.
In the afternoon you will be transferred to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon your arrival in Cairo you will be. Taken to your hotel, for check-in. You will spend the night at your Cairo hotel.
