Private Honeymoon Tour Through Cairo, Luxor, Aswan & the Red Sea

This 13-day Egypt honeymoon package takes you and your partner through Cairo, Alexandria, a private Nile cruise to Aswan and Luxor, and four nights on the Red Sea in Hurghada.

It's built for couples who want the major historic sites covered without rushing, paired with real beach time at the end.

A private guide and air-conditioned vehicle stay with you from arrival onward, so the pace is set by you, not a group.

Your guide is a licensed Egyptologist, which matters most inside Karnak and the Valley of the Kings, where the difference between a plaque and a proper explanation is the whole visit.

In Cairo, you'll cover the Giza Pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Grand Egyptian Museum, then take a day trip to Alexandria's coastal ruins and library.

From Aswan, a three-night Nile cruise carries you past Kom Ombo and Edfu toward Luxor, with Abu Simbel added as a separate morning excursion.

The final four nights are an all-inclusive stay in Hurghada, built for slowing down after ten days of sightseeing.

The route runs Cairo, Alexandria, Aswan, the Nile cruise, Luxor, and then Hurghada, each stop connected by private transfer, so there's no wasted travel time between the history and the coast.

Itinerary

Day1

Arrival in Cairo & Dinner Cruise on the Nile

The tour begins the moment you land in Cairo. Our representative meets you at the airport, handles entry visa formalities and luggage, and gets you into a private air-conditioned vehicle for the drive to your hotel.

After you check in and have some time to settle, your guide takes you out that evening for a dinner cruise on the Nile, a slow boat ride past the lit-up city skyline, with dinner served on board.

Afterward, you're transferred back to your hotel for the night.

  • Meals: Dinner
  • Accommodation: Cairo Hotel
Day2

Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx & the Grand Egyptian Museum

This is your first full day with the pyramids, and it starts right after breakfast with a private guide and vehicle taking you to the Giza Plateau.

You'll see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, the smaller Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx up close, with time to walk the site rather than rush it.

After lunch at a restaurant with pyramid views, the afternoon is spent at the Grand Egyptian Museum, where the Tutankhamun collection and the museum's scale are worth the extra hours.

You're driven back to your Cairo hotel for the night.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
  • Accommodation: Cairo Hotel
Day3

Day Trip to Alexandria

Today is a day trip to Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast, about a three-hour drive from Cairo in a private, air-conditioned car with your guide.

You'll visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an underground Roman-era burial site that mixes Egyptian and Greco-Roman carving styles, then Pompey's Pillar and the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient lighthouse.

After a seafood lunch, the day closes at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the modern library built to reference the ancient one. In the evening, you're driven back to your hotel in Cairo.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
  • Accommodation: Cairo Hotel
Day4

Fly to Aswan & Board Your Nile Cruise

After breakfast and check-out, you're transferred to Cairo airport for a short domestic flight to Aswan, where your Egypt honeymoon shifts from the capital to the Nile itself.

On arrival, you'll visit the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, left in the quarry after a crack appeared during carving, and Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and relocated to Agilkia Island when the original site flooded.

By evening you check into your 5-star Nile cruise ship, where dinner and the overnight are on board as the boat prepares to sail.

  • Flight: Cairo → Aswan
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Onboard the Cruise
Day5

Abu Simbel Temples

This day is built around a single site: Abu Simbel, roughly three hours from Aswan, so you'll set out early with a packed breakfast.

The two rock-cut temples, built under Ramesses II, are known for their scale and for the precision of their construction; twice a year, sunlight reaches into the inner sanctuary and lights the statues at the back.

After the visit, you return to the cruise ship, which stays docked in Aswan for lunch and dinner, with the overnight on board.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Onboard the Cruise
Day6

Sailing to Luxor via Kom Ombo & Edfu

The ship starts sailing today, and your sightseeing happens in stops along the way rather than as a single excursion.

The first stop is Kom Ombo, a temple split symmetrically to honor two gods, Sobek and Haroeris, with reliefs that include early medical instruments.

From there the boat continues to Edfu, where you'll visit the Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt.

Lunch and dinner are served on board as you sail on toward Luxor, arriving late in the evening for the overnight.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Onboard the Cruise
Day7

Luxor's East & West Banks, Then Transfer to Hurghada

You disembark after breakfast and spend the day exploring Luxor with your guide and a private vehicle, starting on the West Bank at the Valley of the Kings, where royal tombs from the New Kingdom are cut into the hillside. From there you'll see Hatshepsut's Temple, built into the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon.

After lunch, the East Bank visit covers Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex from ancient Egypt, still standing on the site it occupied for close to two thousand years.

In the evening, you're transferred by private vehicle to Hurghada for your Red Sea hotel check-in.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Hurghada Hotel
Day8

All-Inclusive Hurghada Relaxation

After ten days of sightseeing, today has no itinerary; it's a full day at your all-inclusive Hurghada resort, with the beach or pool as the only agenda.

Meals, soft drinks, and the resort facilities are covered under the hotel's all-inclusive plan, so there's nothing to plan around and nothing left to book.

If you'd rather not sit still, the hotel can usually arrange optional extras like a spa treatment, a Red Sea yacht trip, or a round of watersports, but none of it is scheduled unless you specifically want it added.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Hurghada Hotel
Day9

Free Day in Hurghada

Another open day in Hurghada, with breakfast at the hotel and the rest of the day left entirely to you.

Some couples spend it stretched out on the beach; others use the free time to book a snorkeling trip or a spa morning through the resort.

There's no set plan here on purpose; after the pace of the first week, this stretch of the tour is meant to slow down rather than fill up with more sightseeing.

Dinner and the overnight are at your Hurghada hotel.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Hurghada Hotel
Day10

Red Sea Snorkeling Excursion

This day is set aside for snorkeling, with a short boat ride out to reef sites in the Red Sea.

The water here is known for its clarity, and the reefs close to Hurghada are shallow enough to be comfortable for first-time snorkelers, not just experienced divers.

Equipment is provided on the boat, and the crew points out where the marine life is most active. You're back at your hotel by evening, with dinner and the overnight at the resort.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Accommodation: Hurghada Hotel
Day11

Fly Back to Cairo

After breakfast, you're transferred to Hurghada airport for a short domestic flight back to Cairo.

Once you land and check into your hotel, the rest of the day is free, useful for anything you didn't get to earlier in the trip, whether that's a last round of shopping, a fine-dining evening overlooking the Nile, or simply resting before the final two days.

No guided activities are scheduled for the rest of the day, so the pace is entirely up to you.

  • Flight: Hurghada → Cairo |
  • Meals: Breakfast
  • Accommodation: Cairo Hotel
Day12

Free Day in Cairo

Your last full day in Egypt is unscheduled, giving you room to revisit anything you'd like another look at or try something you skipped earlier in the trip.

Worth arranging through your guide: a walk through Old Cairo's older neighborhoods, a dinner overlooking the Nile, or a relaxed shopping trip to one of the local markets for a last souvenir.

Nothing on this day is fixed in advance; it's built around whatever you'd rather do with your final hours in the city before departure.

  • Meals: Breakfast
  • Accommodation: Cairo Hotel
Day13

Departure

The tour ends the way it started: with someone handling the logistics so you don't have to.

After breakfast at the hotel, our representative transfers you to Cairo airport and stays with you through check-in, security, and departure formalities, so there's nothing to figure out on your own on the way out.

From there, it's a direct flight home, bringing your 13-day Egypt honeymoon to a close after two full weeks split between the pyramids, a Nile cruise, and four nights on the Red Sea.

  • Meals: Breakfast

Notes

Itinerary order. Sightseeing days can be resequenced for opening hours, site closures, or cruise sailing schedules. Destinations and total sites visited stay the same even if the day-by-day order shifts slightly.

Hotel check-in and check-out. Standard hotel check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out by 12:00 PM. On travel days, luggage storage is available if your flight or transfer time doesn't line up with these windows.

Physical requirements. Most days involve walking on uneven ground; the Giza plateau, temple courtyards, and the Valley of the Kings all have stairs, ramps, or loose stone underfoot. The pace is unhurried and can be adjusted, but this isn't a fully step-free itinerary.

Dress code for religious and historic sites. Shoulders and knees covered is the general rule for temples and mosques. Lightweight, breathable clothing that meets this standard works for most of the year given Egypt's heat.

Travel with children. This itinerary is built around a couple's pace rather than family logistics. If you're planning to bring children, let us know when booking so the schedule and room types can be adjusted.
